Acmena smithii ‘Forest Flame’

Acmena ‘Forest Flame’ is an attractive evergreen shrub or small tree, prized for its brilliant new foliage that emerges in fiery shades of red and orange before maturing to glossy green. A member of the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), it is closely related to lilly pillies and is often used for hedging, screening, or ornamental planting. It produces small white fluffy flowers in spring, followed by purple or red berries. ‘Forest Flame’ prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, and responds well to regular pruning to maintain shape and vibrant foliage.
