Prunus × incam ‘Okame’
Flowering Cherry

Prunus × incam ‘Okame’, also known as Okame Flowering Cherry, is a highly attractive ornamental cherry valued for its early and abundant spring flowering. It forms an elegant, upright to broadly spreading tree with slender branches that become covered in clusters of rich rosy-pink to deep pink flowers. The flowers appear in great profusion, often providing one of the first spectacular signs of spring in the garden.

During summer, the tree carries fresh green, oval-shaped foliage that provides a pleasant leafy appearance. In autumn, the leaves may develop attractive bronze, orange and reddish tones, extending its seasonal interest beyond the flowering period. Its relatively neat growth habit makes it suitable for feature planting, residential gardens, lawns, pathways and streetscapes.
