Hibiscus

Hibiscus is a vibrant and versatile genus of flowering plants known for its large, showy blooms and tropical appeal. Hibiscus flowers come in a wide range of colours, including red, pink, yellow, orange, and white, often with a contrasting central stamen that adds visual drama. The blooms can be single, semi-double, or double, and some varieties produce flowers that last just a day, while others bloom continuously over the warmer months.

The foliage is typically glossy green, providing a lush backdrop to the bright flowers. Hibiscus plants can grow as shrubs, small trees, or even climbers, depending on the species, and they range in height from 1 metre to over 3 metres tall. Many tropical hibiscus varieties thrive in warm, sunny locations, while hardy hibiscus can tolerate cooler climates.
