Eucalyptus cinerea, widely known as the Silver Dollar Tree, is a highly attractive evergreen eucalyptus prized for its distinctive rounded, silver-blue foliage. The juvenile leaves are almost perfectly circular, giving the tree its popular “silver dollar” appearance. As the tree matures, Eucalyptus cinerea develops a strong upright trunk with a broad, open and naturally branching crown. Its smooth bark can develop attractive grey, cream and brown tones as the tree grows. Mature specimens may produce clusters of small creamy-white flowers, which can attract bees and other pollinating insects.

The silvery foliage is one of its greatest ornamental features and is also highly valued for cut foliage and floral arrangements, both fresh and dried. The rounded leaves retain their attractive colour and form, making the branches popular for decorative displays.
