Magnolia ‘Felix’ is a breathtaking deciduous magnolia known for its exceptionally large, vibrant pink flowers. This spectacular variety was bred in New Zealand and is admired for producing some of the biggest blooms of any magnolia.

In early to mid-spring, before the leaves appear, it bursts into bloom with huge, rich rosy-pink flowers that can reach up to 30 cm (12 inches) across. The blooms are cup-shaped to slightly open and create a dramatic, eye-catching display on bare branches.

The tree has an upright, pyramidal growth habit when young, gradually becoming broader and more rounded with age. It typically grows about 4–6 meters tall, making it suitable for medium to large gardens. The foliage is large, fresh green, and provides a lush backdrop after flowering.

Magnolia ‘Felix’ prefers full sun to partial shade and thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It performs best in a sheltered spot protected from strong winds, which can damage the large blooms.
