Hydrangea paniculata ‘Sundae Fraise’
$35.00
Out of stock
Hydrangea paniculata ‘Sundae Fraise’ is a compact and showy deciduous shrub admired for its cone-shaped flower clusters that change colour beautifully through the season. The blooms emerge creamy white in early to mid-summer, gradually blush soft pink, and deepen to rich strawberry-red as the weather cools, creating a lovely “strawberries and cream” effect.
The foliage is mid-green and slightly textured, forming a neat, rounded shrub that typically grows about 1–1.5 metres tall and wide. Its compact size makes it ideal for smaller gardens, borders, or large containers, while still providing an impressive floral display.
Unlike many mophead hydrangeas, ‘Sundae Fraise’ flowers on new wood, meaning it can be pruned in late winter or early spring to encourage strong new growth and abundant blooms. It prefers well-drained, fertile soil and grows best in full sun to partial shade. Regular watering during dry periods will keep the plant healthy and flowering well.
With its long-lasting, colour-changing blooms and manageable size, Hydrangea ‘Sundae Fraise’ brings vibrant summer interest and elegance to any garden.
