An award winning Hydrangea, Deep Purple (Hydrangea macrophylla) is a truly beautiful variety that is equally at home in the garden or in a pot.
With deep dark green foliage that is sometimes edged with black, Hydrangea Deep Purple shows off a multitude of truly amazing flowers, depending on the soil pH.

In acid soils these beauties will be deepest purple and in alkaline soils deep red will be prevalent.
The intensity of the flower colour can be altered by using ‘pinking’ or blueing’ fertilisers.
