Acer palmatum ‘Mikawa-yatsubusa’
$185.00
Mikawa Yatsubusa Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum ‘Mikawa Yatsubusa’) is a highly sought-after dwarf Japanese maple admired for its unique layered foliage and compact growth habit. The leaves are small, deeply lobed, and tightly layered, giving the tree a beautifully sculptural, bonsai-like appearance.
In spring, the new leaves emerge in shades of fresh light green, maturing to a deeper green through summer. As autumn arrives, the foliage transforms into brilliant shades of orange, red, and gold, creating a stunning seasonal display.
This slow-growing deciduous maple typically reaches around 1–2 metres tall and wide, making it ideal for small gardens, courtyards, pots, or bonsai. It prefers a partly shaded position, protected from harsh afternoon sun and wind, and grows best in well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
Perfect as a feature plant or container specimen, the Mikawa Yatsubusa Japanese Maple adds elegance, texture, and year-round interest to any landscape.
