Acer palmatum ‘Bonfire’

Bonfire Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum ‘Bonfire’) is a stunning small deciduous tree prized for its brilliant seasonal colour and compact form. In spring, the new foliage emerges in vibrant shades of red and orange, creating a fiery display. Through summer, the leaves mature to deep green, and in autumn, they turn spectacular shades of crimson and scarlet, resembling a glowing bonfire.

This maple typically grows to around 2–3 metres tall and wide, making it ideal for small gardens, courtyards, or containers. It prefers a partly shaded position protected from harsh afternoon sun and strong winds, and thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
