Prunus serrulata ‘Ukon’ is a distinctive and highly attractive Japanese flowering cherry prized for its unusual pale yellow to yellow-green, semi-double flowers. Unlike the more common pink-flowering cherries, ‘Ukon’ provides a softer, creamy display that gives gardens a unique and elegant appearance.

Flowers appear in mid to late spring, opening from pinkish buds and gradually developing into rounded clusters of creamy yellow-green blooms. The flowers can become paler as they mature, creating a subtle contrast against the fresh green foliage.

The tree develops a graceful, upright to broadly spreading crown, making it an excellent specimen tree for lawns, garden beds and larger landscape areas. Its young foliage emerges with attractive bronze or reddish tones before becoming green during the growing season.
