Giant Peace Lily

The Giant Peace Lily is a bold, tropical-looking plant prized for its lush, glossy green foliage and striking white spathes that resemble flowers. A larger version of the common peace lily, it can reach up to 1.5 metres tall indoors, making it a dramatic statement plant for homes, offices, or shaded garden areas in warm climates. The plant produces elegant white spathes that cradle a central spadix and can bloom multiple times a year under ideal conditions.

It thrives in indirect light and prefers moist, well-drained soil, tolerating low light but blooming best in bright, filtered light. The Giant Peace Lily is also well-known for its air-purifying qualities, removing toxins like formaldehyde and benzene from the environment. It’s relatively low-maintenance but sensitive to overwatering, so it’s important to allow the top of the soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Ideal for: indoor feature plants, shaded patios, and tropical garden understorey planting in frost-free zones.
