Pieris japonica

Pieris japonica, commonly known as Japanese Pieris or Japanese Andromeda, is a beautiful evergreen shrub admired for its year-round ornamental appeal. It develops a neat, bushy form with glossy, dark green leaves, while the new foliage often emerges in attractive shades of bronze, copper, red or pink before gradually maturing.

In late winter and spring, Pieris japonica produces abundant cascading clusters of delicate, urn-shaped flowers. The flowers are typically white to creamy white and hang gracefully from the branches, creating an elegant display against the dark foliage. The plant can also produce attractive flower buds that add interest before the blooms open.
