Picea abies ‘Reflexa’
$50.00
Out of stock
Picea abies ‘Reflexa’ is a dramatic, evergreen conifer admired for its strongly weeping, cascading branches and distinctive architectural form. Unlike the upright Norway spruce, this cultivar develops a pendulous habit, with branches that arch and fall gracefully, creating a sculptural and eye-catching presence in the landscape.
The foliage consists of short, dark green needles arranged densely along the branches, providing rich colour and texture throughout the year. Growth is moderate, and the final shape often depends on training or staking when young, allowing it to form a weeping tree or spreading ground-hugging form. It can reach 6–10 meters in height when trained upright.
Picea abies ‘Reflexa’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers cool climates with well-drained, moist soil. Once established, it is relatively hardy and low-maintenance, requiring minimal pruning aside from shaping or training.
This unique conifer is ideal as a feature specimen, focal point, or architectural accent in gardens, parks, and landscaped areas. Its flowing form and evergreen presence make it especially striking in formal or contemporary designs, where structure and contrast are desired.
