Golden Osmanthus (Osmanthus fragrans var. aurantiacus) is a beautiful and highly fragrant evergreen shrub or small tree, prized for its clusters of golden-yellow to orange flowers that bloom in autumn. The blooms release a strong, sweet scent often compared to apricots or peaches, making it a favorite for sensory and ornamental gardens.

It features glossy, dark green leaves and forms a dense, upright shape, typically growing 3 to 5 metres tall, but can reach up to 8 metres in ideal conditions. Golden Osmanthus thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained, fertile soil. It is relatively low-maintenance, tolerates light frosts once established, and responds well to light pruning after flowering.
