Columnar Apple

Herald Columnar Apple is a slender, upright apple tree reaching around 3 m tall and just 60 cm wide, perfect for tight spaces, pots, and narrow garden beds. It produces large, conical, solid red apples with crisp, juicy, creamy-white flesh and a sweet flavour, excellent for eating fresh, cooking, or preserving. Ripening mid-season (February–March in the southern hemisphere), ‘Herald’ offers a beautiful spring blossom display followed by a colourful summer–autumn fruit crop. While partially self-fertile, it fruits best when planted near other mid-season columnar apples. Hardy and low-maintenance, it thrives in sunny, well-drained positions with protection from strong wind and frost.
