Malus ‘Criknzam’, commonly known as Crimson Knight Crabapple, is an attractive deciduous ornamental tree valued for its deep burgundy foliage, rich crimson flowers and elegant upright growth. It provides strong colour throughout the growing season and makes an excellent feature tree for gardens and landscapes.

In spring, the tree produces abundant clusters of deep pink to crimson flowers that cover the branches. The vivid blooms contrast beautifully with the dark foliage, creating a dramatic and colourful display.

The foliage emerges in deep purple to burgundy shades and remains dark throughout much of the growing season. This striking foliage gives the tree ornamental value even after flowering has finished. As the seasons change, the leaves may develop warmer reddish and bronze tones before falling.
