Magnolia X soulangeana

Magnolia × soulangeana, also known as Saucer Magnolia, is a striking deciduous shrub or small tree valued for its large, tulip- to saucer-shaped flowers that bloom in early spring. The blossoms, which appear before the foliage, range in color from white to deep pink or purple, often with a two-tone effect. This hybrid magnolia typically grows 3 to 6 meters tall with a broad, rounded form and smooth grey bark. Its green, ovate leaves emerge after flowering and turn yellow in autumn.

Saucer magnolia thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It’s an excellent ornamental choice for home gardens, courtyards, and parks, providing a dramatic floral display and graceful structure throughout the seasons.
