Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Hot Red’

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Hot Red’ is a vibrant deciduous shrub known for its bold, eye-catching flower heads. This mophead hydrangea produces large, rounded clusters of rich red to deep pink blooms that create a striking display from late spring through summer. The intensity of the colour can vary slightly depending on soil conditions, but it is especially vivid in slightly alkaline soils.

The foliage is lush and mid to dark green, with broad leaves that provide a beautiful contrast to the bright flower heads. ‘Hot Red’ has a compact, rounded growth habit and typically grows around 1–1.5 metres tall and wide, making it ideal for garden beds, borders, and large containers.
