Camellia sasanqua ‘Plantation Pink’

Camellia Plantation Pink is a beautiful evergreen shrub admired for its soft, romantic blooms and glossy foliage. This variety produces large, semi-double to double flowers in a delicate light pink shade, often with gently layered petals that create a full, elegant appearance. The blooms usually appear from late winter to early spring, bringing colour to the garden when many other plants are still dormant.

The dark green, shiny leaves provide an attractive backdrop throughout the year, making it a great feature plant even when not in flower. It grows in a neat, upright to slightly spreading habit and can reach around 2–3 metres tall if left unpruned. It responds well to shaping, so it can be maintained as a hedge, screen, or specimen plant.

Like other Camellia varieties, Plantation Pink prefers a partly shaded position with well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It thrives in cooler climates but can also grow well in protected spots in warmer regions. Regular watering during dry periods and mulching around the base will help keep the roots cool and moist.
