Acca sellowiana, commonly known as feijoa or pineapple guava, is a small evergreen shrub or tree native to South America, particularly Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay. It is widely grown in subtropical and mild-temperate regions for its aromatic, flavorful fruits.

The feijoa plant typically grows 1.5–4 meters tall, with dense, silvery-green leaves and attractive, edible flowers. The flowers have showy red stamens and white petals, adding ornamental value to the plant. Fruit development follows, producing oval-shaped green fruits about 4–7 cm long. The flesh is soft, aromatic, and sweet-tart, with flavors reminiscent of pineapple, guava, and strawberry. The skin is slightly gritty but edible.

Feijoa thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils. It is moderately drought-tolerant once established and can withstand mild frost. Regular watering and fertilization improve fruit yield and quality.
