Toona sinensis ‘ Flamingo ‘
Chinese Cedar

Toona sinensis ‘Flamingo’, commonly known as Flamingo Chinese Cedar, is a spectacular deciduous ornamental tree renowned for its exceptionally colourful foliage. In spring, the new leaves emerge in vivid shades of pink, salmon and creamy white, creating a beautiful soft, pastel appearance. As the foliage matures, the colours gradually change to yellow-green and fresh green, providing a lovely seasonal transformation.

The large, pinnate leaves have an elegant, fern-like appearance and create a lush, tropical feel during the warmer months. The combination of colourful new growth and attractive foliage makes ‘Flamingo’ an excellent feature tree for gardens, lawns, courtyards and landscape plantings. It is particularly eye-catching when planted where the changing foliage colours can be easily appreciated.

‘Flamingo’ is valued not only for its ornamental appeal but also for its graceful branching structure and distinctive foliage. It provides strong seasonal interest, with fresh pink growth in spring followed by attractive green foliage through summer and beautiful changes as the seasons progress. An excellent choice for gardeners looking for a unique tree that brings colour, elegance and character to the landscape.
