Pink Hydrangea

Pink hydrangea is a showy deciduous shrub celebrated for its large, globe-like clusters of rosy blooms. Most often a variety of Hydrangea macrophylla, it grows about 1–2 m tall and wide, forming a dense mound of dark-green, serrated leaves that highlight the vivid flower heads.

The pink color appears when soil is more alkaline (higher pH) and low in aluminum, creating shades that range from soft blush to deep rose. Flowers typically appear from late spring through summer, making a long-lasting display in borders, cottage gardens, and containers.

Pink hydrangeas thrive in partial shade with morning sun, in rich, consistently moist yet well-drained soil. A layer of mulch helps retain moisture, and pruning immediately after flowering keeps plants vigorous and encourages blooms for the following season. Their eye-catching blossoms also make excellent cut or dried flowers for indoor arrangements.
